SENAI-PE welcomes members of Recife City Hall's ProMorar project

Representatives of SENAI-PE received a delegation of five members of the Urban Requalification and Resilience Program in Areas of Socio-environmental Vulnerability (ProMorar Recife), an action of the Recife City Hall financed with a credit operation from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Felipe Fritz and Monalisa Chagas, members of the business and partnerships team from SENAI-PE's industrial directorate, led the event and presented the group with a selection of actions carried out by SENAI's Institutes of Technology and Innovation that can be used by the program.

ProMorar Recife is divided into three components: integrated urbanization, resilient infrastructure and innovation in urban and housing policy, and tackling climate risks. To meet these demands, the trio of SENAI-PE consultants Andreza Pirro, Mariele Ferreira and Daniel Bruno presented initiatives linked to the areas of materials, construction and plaster. One of the proposals that most caught the participants' attention was consultancy in Building Information Modeling (BIM), a methodology that can be used in construction projects to optimize processes and reduce waste.

Another topic discussed at the meeting was energy efficiency consultancy, presented by Ricardo Chalegre, technical coordinator for energy consultancy and R&D. Danilo Lima, corporate quality coordinator, listed the actions of the Environmental Laboratory, which can collaborate, for example, with consultancies on environmental legislation and actions to restore rivers. The metrology services, with analysis of construction and environmental materials, also aroused the interest of the Recife City Council group.

“We showed the Promorar team that we have the expertise to develop innovative tools and technologies so that Recife City Hall can, for example, monitor possible flooding and landslides. The reception was very good and we should meet again to deepen this partnership,” says Felipe Fritz.

ProMorar's innovation, risk and urban control manager, Vitória Passos, praised the range of solutions offered by SENAI Pernambuco for the program. “There is great synergy between what we are thinking about for the project and what SENAI has shown us. Innovation and artificial intelligence applied to sustainability, for example, are converging agendas that interest us a lot.”.
