SENAI Petrolina graduates more than 200 students
Last Wednesday night (19), the SENAI Petrolina school graduated more than 200 students from the technical courses in Administration, Electromechanics, Food, Electrotechnics, Automotive Maintenance, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. At the opening ceremony, marked by moments of great emotion and joy, the audience watched a video with SENAI Pernambuco's regional director, Camila Barreto. Afterwards, the new professionals in the busy job market of the São Francisco Valley were greeted by the chairwoman and the institution's Professional Education manager, Tatyana Gugelmin.
Recalling the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the organization, Gugelmin revealed that 94% companies prefer SENAI graduates and that eight out of 10 former students of technical courses are employed within a year of finishing. It is worth remembering that Pernambuco will have to train more than 2,000 workers in technical industrial occupations to fill the new opportunities projected for the state in 2023.

After the reading of the oath by Clênio Leite Guimarães, a graduate of the Electrotechnics technical course, the graduates received their certificates and the class speaker, Rosália da Conceição Pereira, from the Administration course, thanked them for the learning and growth they had experienced at the school. “We've learned every lesson and we're ready to make our contribution to the great challenge of increasing the productivity of regional industries,” she said, also thanking her family and friends.
Also during the ceremony, which was attended by representatives of the FIEPE System's Business Council, the audience heard speeches from SENAI Petrolina's school manager, Carol Campos; from the graduates' patron and regional director of the FIEPE System, Albânio Venâncio; and from the class valedictorian, electrotechnics teacher Thazio Augusto Oliveira Lima.
