General Objective

To train Occupational Safety Technicians, ensuring quality of life at work and preserving the health of workers in the environments where they work, meeting the needs of the regional market for professionals who are highly capable of minimizing the risks of accidents at work.

Specific objectives

• Developing teaching that meets the legal obligations of today's society, making it possible to promote health and protect the integrity of workers through preventive measures.
• To guide students on the importance of encouraging the preservation of the health, physical and mental integrity of the worker, valuing the productive aspects of the work activity, clarifying and making employers aware of accidents at work and occupational diseases, encouraging them in favor of prevention.
• To prepare students for the practice of protecting and preserving the environment, providing guidance on the treatment and disposal of industrial waste, encouraging and making workers aware of its importance to life.
• To develop the student's ability to analyze and use appropriate equipment that can ensure the physical and mental health of the worker, both individually and collectively.
• Promote activities, through industry, that allow students to get to know and interact with the current scenario of activities developed in the work environment, enabling the materialization of knowledge.

• Developing challenging humanistic technical projects and activities, seeking the perception and conscious incorporation of ethics in the human relationships involved in the world of work.
