SENAI-PE offers 330 places on free technical courses
The National Industrial Apprenticeship Service is holding an open selection process for those interested in taking a free technical course at the institution. A total of 330 full scholarships are being offered for 11 different courses, all in the classroom format. The scholarships are aimed at low-income people who have already finished high school. Applications can be made until Monday (18) and classes will start next May.
The opportunities are for schools in Recife (Areias and Santo Amaro), Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Ipojuca, Caruaru and Petrolina. To apply for the scholarships, candidates must meet the following requirements: be from a low-income background; have completed high school; and have obtained an average of more than 450 points in the National High School Exam in 2019, 2020 or 2021. The vacancies will be filled in the order of the candidates' overall ranking, taking into account the averages obtained in the ENEM exam.
With a minimum workload of 800 hours, the technical courses offered by SENAI-PE aim to train professionals who are able to work in various areas of the industrial sector. There are even vacancies for the institution's most sought-after technical courses: Electrotechnics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Automotive Maintenance. “Through this call for applications, we are making it possible for more people to have access to quality training, which makes it easier for them to enter the job market. The proof of this is that more than 80% of SENAI-PE graduates are employed within a year of finishing the course,” explains SENAI-PE's Director of Education, Carla Abigail.
The results of the selection process will be announced on April 19. Those approved will have to register between April 20 and 25, at the school indicated at the time of registration. At the time of enrollment, copies of the following documents will be required: certificate of completion of medical school, transcript or school statement; ID, driver's license, social security card or passport; CPF; and proof of residence, as well as a self-declaration of low-income status and proof of ENEM scores.
